Montpellier, France, December 6, 2017. For their first match in the 2018 edition of the CEV Volleyball Cup \u2013 Men, France\u2019s MONTPELLIER Volley UC played last year\u2019s semi-finalists United Volleys RHEIN MAIN of Germany. The hosts claimed a hard-fought home victory as they beat their opponent 3-2 (20-25, 25-21, 32-30, 20-25, 15-10).<\/p>\n

Both teams played at their best level and offered an impressive fight for the 2,130 supporters in attendance at the Palais des Sports Chaban Delmas in Castelnau le Lez, France. With numerous entertaining rallies, the game changed course a few times. The two teams were neck and neck almost from start to finish and offered a very good show for the public. In fact, all the spikers of the two teams were formidable and scored with their impressive hits and serves. For their first match in the CEV Cup in front of their public, the hosts showed great things \u2013 as much as did their opponents from Germany.<\/p>\n

Jean Patry, opposite of MONTPELLIER Volley UC and MVP of the game: \u201cWe are very happy, this win was very important for the team. Our opponents tonight are very strong and they play very well but our supporters were very important to achieve this victory.\u201d<\/p>\n

Les deux \u00e9quipes ont jou\u00e9 \u00e0 leur meilleur niveau et offert un combat impressionnant aux 2130 supporters du Palais des Sports Chaban Delmas \u00e0 Castelnau le Lez, en France. Avec de nombreux \u00e9changes spectaculaires, le jeu \u00e9tait totalement incertain. Les deux \u00e9quipes \u00e9taient au coude \u00e0 coude pendant tout le match et ont offert un tr\u00e8s beau spectacle au public. En effet, les attaquants des deux \u00e9quipes \u00e9taient impressionnants et r\u00e9alisaient de magnifiques points et de gros services. Pour son premier match de Coupe CEV devant son public, Montpellier a montr\u00e9 de tr\u00e8s belles choses comme ses adversaires du jour.<\/p>\n
